Deer Valley Resort has announced the new name and plans for the base village and ski portal on its newly acquired terrain, Mayflower Resort. The new ski facilities will be called the Deer Valley East Village and will be located along Highway U.S. 40 headed southbound to Heber City. The project by Extell Development Company in partnership with Deer Valley Resort is set to include a state-of-the-art skier service facility, 1,200 new parking spaces exclusively for day-skiers, and 16 new chairlifts, with a ten passenger gondola and ski access across four new peaks. Deer Valley East Village will also contain 800 hotel rooms, nearly 1,700 residential units, 250,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000 square feet for recreation, and the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is expected to open in late 2024.
